Course Outline
The Musicianship/Theory courses follow the ABRSM graded exams grade eight (8). Each grade is normally completed over the course of an academic year (three consecutive terms). There are five major areas of study which are listening and appraising, theory, sight singing, composition and improvisation. Although there is no prerequisite for level 1, the student needs to pass an exam in order to advance to higher grade levels.
Musicianship/Theory must run concurrently with the practical courses in order to provide the necessary musical foundation to the student.
Enrollment for this course is only offered in September.
